The 2008 Thurston County Republican Convention will be this Saturday, April 12th. The convention will be held at Tumwater High School, 700 Israel Road SW, Tumwater. Registration starts at 8:30 am with "opening ceremonies" starting at 9:00 am.

We will select delegates to the Washington State Republican Convention, finalize our County Platform, and hear from statewide and local candidates. Guests are welcome to attend the convention. The entrance fee for all delegates, alternates, and guests is $10.00. This fee is to cover expenses associated with the precinct caucuses and county convention.

$10 fee

Are there grants available for those who are unable to afford the $10 convention fee?

Are journalists also required to pay the $10?

Rob, I asked the county

Rob, I asked the county chairperson and the answer to question #1 is no. No answer to question #2. If you want to go and report on the County Convention, I will pay the fee.
Thanks, Jeff

I'm well aware of "the sins"

I'm well aware of "the sins" of Jeff Brigham but was the above hijack necessary? What was so abhorrent about this post that it needed to be taken over by someone "not letting it go?"

(Or was there more from Jeff that got deleted?)

I for one

Was just clowning around.  Jeff is a nice guy and fun to talk with.  If I offended, I apologize.

I was inspired by Jeff's offer to Rob...

...thus the "love" comment. I just riffed after that.

Sorry if the talk of love and peace offended anyone.

Sorry.

You're right. This wasn't an appropriate post for me to cavort in.
