The list is vast. From my early recollection of childhood to today, 9 reasons why I still love Olympia. In dishonor of Client #9.

  1. Kelly Beach Road - Built my first childhood company here, Electra Records. Also got my first kiss on this road at Rachel's 6th grade b-day party. =)
  2. Ludlow Dances - My formative middle school years and where it became even more confusing to be alive.
  3. IT Route #80 - This was the Yelm Highway route when I was growing up in Shana Park (with Mr. Cuddleford). It was my freedom when South Sound was actually a cheesy mall. Gold Mine! Remember Dial-a-lift? For .50 cents you could get picked up and dropped of anywhere you needed to go within any bus route. Wow...
  4. Tree Farms - Before all the development tree farms, or over growth areas, were everywhere. We explored these to no end. Set up camps, recon'ed our turf, walked railroads for miles (now the Chehalis Western Trail). First Playboy I ever saw I found in a tree farm.
  5. Lakefair - I still love it. So many good friends from the past come around. It could use an overhaul, too!
  6. Farmer's Market - Considering the value, including music and really cheap good food, you can't go wrong with the market.
  7. Local Music - I'm amazed at what comes to this town. I don't always catch it all but it sure is nice to see an act like Bright Eyes play the Capitol Theater.
  8. Our School District - My son, Sam, has done so well here - huge improvements in every area. We still have dinner with Sam's 2nd grade teacher and he is now in 3rd grade. Charley received speech therapy through the school district and it did wonders. Although, tonight we had meefloaf, according to her.
  9. My Wedding - Olympia is where my life began, twice. OK, so I was born in Lakewood but raised in Olympia. I also married in a backyard overlooking Budd Inlet with a sun so bright you almost couldn't see Mt. Rainier on the horizon. Almost.

It should also be noted that on Olympia's Comcast programming guide Love Potion #9 is playing on Encore channel. RIGHT NOW!

I don't want to throw off the numbering system

So I'll just post a contribution.  Olympia is a place where two guys that furiously opposed each other on The Olympian threads, could learn more about each other on Olyblog and walk the mean streets to the Brotherhood for a couple of beverages

Thanks, I'm buying the next round.
