Hi to all, I am new here and this is my first comment. I am hoping to bring some attention to the recent story that KIRO TV and the Olympian did on the two dogs who were starved (one to death) by their owner, a Lacey business man age 34. I am not certain if naming him is appropriate, but his business is Jackson Insurance Agency on Martin Way. You can google the video of the dogs by entering "skeleton with fur" and the story comes up. I am hoping to get a large crowd together at the courthouse on April 1st, the day the dog owner is arraigned. These animals had no voice, they were locked in a small enclosure, covered in feces, without food for what the experts say was 45 days. The older, larger dog died a very painful death, with it's intestines twisted along with constant vomiting. I know that there is endless heart ache in this world, I try to live consciously and make the world better every day, I am only hoping to spread the word and let this guy know that harming helpless animals is disgusting. Please feel free to email him, his address is on his website, or contact Farmers Insurance Corporate Office directly and let them know that this kind of employee is not of value. Thank you for reading this, I hope you will allow it to be viewed. I hope to see you all on April 1st at the Thurston County Courthouse, please if you have one or two, or even more......... bring your dogs and any sign you wish to make. Lets not let this guy get off with a slap on the wrist. Again, thank you.

Submitted by Chia on Mon, 03/31/2008 - 2:25pm.A call to animal services brought the following information:
1. The only thing going on tomorrow (April 1) is an arraignment where a plea will be entered. It's not important to attend tomorrow.
2. On April 8, [name deleted] will be petitioning to get the surviving dog back. Animal services says that it would be very helpful to have people attend at this time. The petition is at 3pm, is currently scheduled for district court although animal services is trying to get it moved to superior court, and we can check the dockets on the left as we enter the building to find out where to go.
