I like it

So what's the deal with your collage work and the color red? They all share that shade. Those of us in the Pacific Northwest always jump back when we see that color, since it rarely appears as a prevailing color in nature.

I went through a red phase...

...and drank a lot of red wine.

Red is lively.

Thanks for noticing!

Also, interestingly enough...

I hate red trees. Japanese Maples? Hate 'em. Red is for flowers, fruit, fire and blood. Not leaves. Leaves should be green unless its autumn and then its ok.

And yet

I see by the Robbins reference below that you are a person who is well red.

For reference...

"From my downtown Seattle apartment, a number of provocative neon signs are visible, silently reciting them selves like lines from a hot, jerky poem. Above the entrance to the Champ Arcade, for example, there flashes the phrase LIVE GIRLS, LIVE GIRLS, LIVE GIRLS, a sentiment that never fails to bring me joy, especially when I consider the alternative."

-Tom Robbins, from the foreward of The Archaic Revival by Terrance McKenna.
