Queer Rock Camp is Stonewall Youth's newest summer program and is happening this August!! Queer Rock Camp is a tuition-free, week-long music program for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual youth and their allies, ages 12-21. Based on the model of Girls Rock Camp, QRC aim to empower youth, giving them a voice, building confidence, fostering creative individual growth and supportive collaborative relationships. In one week campers learn basic skills on the instrument of their choice, form bands, write an original song, and perform to a public audience at Olympia's historic Capital Theater. Camp is being hosted by Lincoln Options Elementary school and all meals are provided.
Donations to support Queer Rock Camp can be made online through stonewall youth by specifying QRC in the "designations" section. Thanks Olympia!
