creepyFlatulence so bad he had to take medication for it. I wonder if this provided a humorous auditory distraction for his subordinates when they had to listen to Hitler's long rants. I imagine so. Really think about and visualize this for a minute, and you can't help but laugh. Like one old boss I used to have, they probably nicknamed Der Schicklgruber "Puff and Toot!"

Anyway, this is just a test blog for my own insidious experiment, which seems to be working beyond my expectations. Stay tuned as I'll be changing it frequently.

Hitler gay? And killed to hide it?

A very nice e-store for Nazis to help enhance their worship of Adolf.

"Oh, my personality. Thanks, buddy."

All the recent supposed inner turmoil among the American Nazis strikes me as about as real and melodramatic as professional wrestling. The big fun is trying to guess how many of them are really working for the Feds. Sometimes it is those who do the most mentally ill crazyass shouting. Picking out which ones are junior G-men is great sport for the whole family.

This post is fascist flypaper.

[via email]

Hello Rick:

I was raised in Olympia and graduated from the high school (OHS) which was on Capitol Way in 1955.

I had a few notes that you may be interested in.

•I didn't see any notes on Hewitt Lake and where it's name came from.

•The Brassfield Road next to Hewitt Lake was named after my father, Morgan Brassfield, who donated the land for the original road extension.

•Attached is a pic of the East Olympia Store (next to the railroad tracks) as it was in about 1948. It's a mess now. I was raised in this building, moving to Hewitt Lake in 1951.

Thanks,

John Brassfield

Red Brown and the Tune Stranglers are celebrating their 3rd anniversary of stranglin' Monday night at the Brotherhood Tavern. IT'S FREE! And it's a benefit for Bread & Roses! See y'all there!

Update from Vince (via email):

Well tonight's the night! The last of the regular Monday night shows at The Brotherhood with Red Brown & the Tune Stranglers. 8 PM till midnight. Free admission and half the bar proceeds go to Bread & Roses to provide advocacy services to the homeless community. It's the end of an Olympia institution and you won't want to miss it! You've never had a better reason to stumble through a Tuesday morning!

Is there such a thing?  If there isn't would people be interested in one?  I'm thinking of a group that would share information and resources, and possibly hold events or activities.  In addition to parenting/child-related information, I'd also want to discusses and promote approaches to social issues that impact children and families, both on a local and national level.

I realize there are many groups out there and wouldn't want to be redundant.  Initially, I thought about just doing a listserv or Yahoo group to share information (for example, I need to find a good pediatrician).

If you are interested, you can respond to my email here or write me at juliemontgom@yahoo.com

Wifi may be coming to Olympia. On the relative cheap, councilmembers Joe Hyer and TJ Johnson are proposing a $20,000 downtown wifi network.

While the next step will likely be some council centric scoping, leading to a "Request for Proposals" by private firms to actually build the network, this is a huge step from where the city was last time they talked about this.

Chad Atkins (aka Chad360) will have his own tale to tell about the city and wifi. But, the last time the city council took this up, they decided to sit and wait.

My only question about this, is where does this leave Cirgo, our somewhat silent, secretive, "wireless coop for Olympia."

Here are some other posts (sorry, mostly mine) about wifi in Oly:
Muni Wi-fi (in Oly)?
Oly Muni Wi-fi update
(very) limited wi-fi proposal for the city
Wireless Libraries Yeah!
Wifi in Everett, why not Oly (Tumwater, and Lacey)?
