Almost every week this is the "What's on the city council's plate this week" review. I don't cover everything, so if you want the full rundown, read the packet and agenda yourself. This week, we'll see how the city wants to make the city safer for walkers. The city is considering a list of projects on their consent calendar that will hopefully solve walkers getting hit by cars problems at several intersections. From the report:
Here is a map of the intersections. Click on the place marks for descriptions of the projects:

A lot of people don't want the world to forget about what just happened in Burma. Here's what artist Kenny Random has to say about it:

No Rob, I posted an entire comment demonstrating...
Why she is not qualified. However the "Access Denied" fault showed up again. Odd how that keeps happening, not to mention how awfully convenient for some I suppose. I will rewrite my comments again. Perhaps someone somewhere would actually fix this 'issue' with the blog so people can have an actual discussion. But... I doubt it.
For now if you want to 'see' Meta's qualifications, go to her site and look at all the 'candidates' who have endorsed her. You will note the lack of any actual leadership experience offered on her own site. Don't take my word for it or Rob's word for the opposite. Rob won't read Mah's web site, so why don't you. Make an actual informed decision.

So if any of you didn't sign the net neutrality petition i posted up here a week or so ago...heres one more chance...plus some happy news. http://civic.moveon.org/save_the_internet/ "A coalition of consumer groups and legal scholars on Thursday formally asked the Federal Communications Commission to stop Comcast Corp. from interfering with file sharing by its Internet subscribers. Two of the groups are also asking the FCC to fine Comcast $195,000 for every affected subscriber. The petitions will be the first real test of the FCC's stance on the so-called "Net Neutrality" issue. " More Here |
