DEADWOOD REVIVAL and RED & RUBY: TWO GREAT DUOS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!

Come on down to Plenty in downtown Olympia on Friday March, 23rd to hear two great duos: Deadwood Revival and Red & Ruby.

Deadwood Revival

Deadwood Revival hail from Port Angeles, but you may have heard them almost anywhere as they have been one of the hardest working acoustic duos out of the Northwest, playing hundreds of shows in the past 3 years.  Described as "pure, honest, passionate, and refreshing" Deadwood Revival’s performances include foot-stomping hoe-downs, imaginative, cleverly arranged covers and original tunes that embody Kim and Jason's impeccable vocal blend and old-time simplicity.   Seeing a Deadwood Revival show will put one in mind of artists like Gillian Welch, Old Crow Medicine Show, or the Be Good Tanyas, but their sound is distinctly their own and the experience unique.  Deadwood Revival recently took honors as the winners of the Northwest String Summit and once you hear them in concert you won’t have to wonder why!

Red & Ruby

Red & Ruby (perhaps better known as Vince Brown & LaVon Hardison) are an exciting swing duo that will take you back to the days when vaudeville reigned and music was meant to be entertainment, not a confessional.  They’ll keep you laughing as they swing through a curious play list of songs from the 1920s, 30s and 40s.

Red is familiar to Olympia audiences from his performances with Red Brown & the Tune Stranglers and Hot Club Sandwich.  Ruby is fresh off the stage from her recent performance in Harlequin’s The Twelfth Night of Stardust.  This is an exciting new project for both Red & Ruby and sure to be a hit with folks who like to have a good time.
