So I’ve been riding my bike to work off and on, and I have this system worked out where I ride the bus partway, through the leg of the journey that is both hilly and squirrelly (including where I nearly got hit [by a semi!] last month).  And if it’s really raining, and I can’t take riding my bike in the rain, I can actually ride the bus the whole way from work to home.

Fine people of Olympia and beyond: the time has come for OlyBlog to move to its new home on a server under the care of the kind and generous technicians at Zhonka! While Zhonka has offered to host OlyBlog free of charge (as a service to the community), I've suggested (and the docents agreed) that we should cover some of the costs associated with the transition. In particular, a consequence of the move is that we will need to do quite a lot of work redesigning the site. Such an investment will also result in more functionality and better reliability. If there was ever a time when your donation would really make a difference, it is now.

Update: I've disabled the ability of users to create new accounts. We're getting about 20 spam accounts per day. (Luckily, the newer version of Drupal we'll be using has filters -- yeah!) If you don't have an account and you really want to post something, just send it here and we'll post it.

We anticipate that the site will be taken off-line for a couple of days sometime next week for the move.
