Thank you for being in the parade. To the person pushing her, thanks as well.

After a very lengthy meeting with a cardiologist last week, I am finally graduating from the need for heart treatment! I've got a holter to pass next week and then I'm done. I think I'll find a little hole in the ground to hide in while I wear that holter. I don't want any extraneous blips or beeps to influence my ability to trim a doctor off my list of places to go and things to do!

Hugs, Christie

With the kind help of Nat from Zhonka and epersonae, we're just about ready to kick the tires on the new set up. I hope that we'll have something for people to look at early this week. There will be a new theme, with some familiar and some different elements. Stay tuned for more information.

Update: Here's the demo version. Check it out.

The day after the Procession of the Species Parade Eco City Olympia in partnership with the raccoon ARTS collective will be hosting a work party (with emphasis on Party!) centered around Permaculture Activism, Ecocity development, and the formation of a new City Repair Crew here in Oly. Expect to get your hands dirty doing a little permaculture landscaping on site. There will be coordination meeting for those who are interested in attending the upcoming Village Building Convergence (7) May 18-27 in Portland, OR. The Raccoon Collective will also be organizing and inviting ideas for the upcoming Westside Artswalk (4) and the first Oly Zine Fair (both May 26th). Come on out so you can get to know your community and bring some food if you've got it.

We'll see you there! stay stout,

the raccoons and Eco City Olympia
