I'm having some technical difficulties, I'm not trying to be purple.

Well, I was going to ramble on and on but I ended up deciding to condense it.

I spent a good portion of the weekend with friends and family, and shared
this story with them. I got some good feedback and learned a little bit in
the process.

First, and foremost, let me start out by apologizing. I truly am sorry for
saying what I said, and offending whoever I may have. I would love to say
that I didn't mean any of it, or that I said it wrong and that it was taken
out of context. Being not such a great liar I'm afraid I cannot do that.
When I typed the message I was feeling snide, crass, malicious, spiteful and
just plain mean. I would love to cop out and say it was "heat of the moment"
or "I was just so angry" but if you go back and read the times in the posts
and when mine was typed, you'll see I would have had plenty of time to cool
down if that were the case. I wasn't angry (as was suggested) I wasn't
drunk or drinking (another suggestion) I was simply being mean. That's
all that I am going to say about my frame-of-mind when I was typing the
message. I do, however, again wish to reiterate that I am sorry for the
folks who I hurt....you know who you are.

olyrickm passed on this great story to me and now I must share. We here in Olympia know the power of clowns (more all through here). Well back in May of this year clown power was applied with skill and finesse in Knoxville, Tennessee to deal with a racist hate group. The story is here.

Humor is powerful indeed.

I have pasted and/or attached info about the meeting below. All who are interested in OPD issues should sit in on this meeting. Remember, though, that it is a "read-only" meeting--i.e., you can't participate. :(
