Sep 8 2007 - 9:00am Sep 8 2007 - 12:00pm The Olympia Volunteers In Parks (VIP) program is sponsoring a work party at Grass Lake Refuge (814 Kaiser Rd. NW) on Saturday, September 8, from 9 am to noon. Only you can fight the scourge of English Ivy! Join us to help rid Grass Lake Refuge of the IVY MENACE!!! Volunteers under 18 must have written parental permission, under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Tools and refreshments will be provided, but bring your favorite pair of hand shears or loppers if you wish. No power tools, please. Call 753-8365 to RSVP, or just show up! ![]()

Dear friends, This convergence will benefit all of Olympia by enabling everyone and all activist groups to easily sign up at the freeschool with greater ease to facilitate free classes and outreach to the community! Or. for Google Map directions from your house directly to the event please click here. Join us as we radically work to improve Olympia freeschool’s new website with social networking, interactive photo album, video and online radio capabilities! Everyone is welcome and Drupal experience is preferred but not required. olyrickm passed on this great story to me and now I must share. We here in Olympia know the power of clowns (more all through here). Well back in May of this year clown power was applied with skill and finesse in Knoxville, Tennessee to deal with a racist hate group. The story is here. Humor is powerful indeed.
