Twenty people showed up to ask fifteen questions of three applicants for the District 2 seat. On average, how many times did the words "difficult," "listening," "students," "sustainable," and "experience" appear in each answer? Show your work. Okay, pencils down. All in all, an interesting two hours (blogged in more detail here) as Theresa Tsou, Paul Parker, and John Keeffe fielded questions from the audience, mediated by Peter Rex, the District's communication director.

Greetings all - I'm asking anyone with photos, video clips and stories to share to help me with a multimedia project to help those still struggling with unmet needs following the devasting floods of December 3 last year. Long after the news attack helicopters have roared off to the Next Big Thing people continue to live with their homes in ruin and lives turned upside down.

David Mamet: Why I Am No Longer a 'Brain-Dead Liberal' David Mamet has been involved with such theatrical shows such as “Glengarry Glenn Ross” , “The Verdict” , and “Wag the Dog”. He has been nominated for Tony awards and Oscars. He has been a columnist for the Huffington Post. Link It seems that he has taken a turn for the better with his ideology, and I have to guess that he is going to have people treat him differently now. I am only making a supposition, but I certainly do not think you make a change like this and not affect the people around you. The column he wrote appeared in the Village Voice.
