Anyone familiar with the lot set to be developed at Cooper Point Drive and Evergreen Park Drive SW (just off 101)? It is a 10+ acre plot that the Chevron station sits in front off. I am curious to see how many of those large trees they will remove. I hope to contact someone with the City to get an idea. I am sure it is to late too to try and save the area. It would be a shame if they remove all the trees.

I will however take a few photos of the lot to post here. Hopefully the before and afters won't be too dramatic...

Thanks.

So I am heading East on my bicycle, approaching the intersection of Lily and Martin Way earlier tonight. Right before the driveway for the gas station there (I think it's a seven eleven) on the SW corner, a silver small SUV passes me and then slows down quickly and enters the driveway. So I yell something like "Hello! Watch it!" The driver rolls down her window and says, "what?" So I tell her, "you cut me off." She say's, "Shutup retard, watch where you're going!"

That was a mean thing to say! Cut someone off and then tell him he's retarded. What's up with that?

Tongue in cheek folks...  :-)  Reminds me, right after Iraq was invaded I hung around the fringes of the protest in Seattle with a sign reading "Stop the War Protests"  :-)

on a now closed thread, Mike said something I personally find offensive and wish to address...

"the same folks who are now attending and talking about attending PMR meetings are folks who are clear about their affection for firearms. The brutal efficiency of gun-fanciers who go off the deep end is pretty clear everywhere it happens."

I'm not even sure where to begin on this. Is he claiming all gun owners are nuts and capable of going off the deep end? Is he claiming the gun fanciers on Olyblog pose a greater risk to the community? What the heck is this supposed to mean. Tarring all folks with the same brush is at best sloppy journalism, and at worse, mindless propaganda designed to incite fear and loathing.

I'm offended.

I just finished posting a well thought out paragraph or two on the blog that Rob just closed and my post did not get through.

Considering what I go through just to type something, that really pisses me off royally.

I read Norm's review of the Shanghai restaurant over the weekend, and thought, mmm, that sounds tasty. :)

Then I remembered that I had a lunch scheduled with some folks at work, and somebody was asking for suggestions. Shockingly, I remembered on Monday to make the suggestion, and that's where we went.

And it was a HUGE hit. Everybody had the buffet, and everybody was happy. We will definitely be going back. (And I'll be going back with chad360 sooner rather than later.)

BTW: I said that I'd read a review, and somebody asked if the reviewer had stars, forks, etc. for a rating system. I had to say that it was "some guy with a blog" :) and thus, no rating system, just a recommendation. Should we invent an OlyBlog restaurant rating system?
