Aerick finished inking his sketch later that night (4.11.08, my birthday, duh).  He wrote me to say that eventually he'd add color!

I told him that the hands behind gave me cognitive dissonance because they couldn't physically be my hands, so maybe they are helper spirit hands awaiting my directions... or the hands of mischievous elves and the pies are intended for me.  Either way, it was well worth the wait.  I've been needing a logo.

Several party goers got sucked into sharing their myspaces and watching archived videos during the party.

"You've got myspace on speed-dial!" said Heather

"Stop geeking out at the party"

Then she said, "Oh, you have to check out this video my friends made. It has clowns AND butoh!"

So, over the course of several hours, we waited for it to download.

Silly, dial-up, clicks are for vids.

My webpage that is. I'm working on getting content up for it. Give me a little time, especially as I work with the new development tools. If you have something really interesting to say, I will be putting up a "guest blog" section as well.

Edit: "Vermin of the Week" is up as well.

Hey, I know I haven't been very active on Olyblog lately. I logged on today and took a look at some of the docent discussion. What is the hyper-local content policy?

The last thing I remember, there was not a policy against posting not hyper-local content to your journal, but hyper-localness was a factor in what would be promoted to the front page. Are folks now subject to disciplinary action for posting something that's not considered hyper-local?

Also, I could use a clarification on localness. Does it have to be Thurston County? Or are neighboring counties acceptable? Western Washington? In-state?

I have to confess, I don't live in Olympia. I went to school for three years at South Puget Sound Community College. So I do have some tie to the Oly community. I'm attending the University of Washington in Seattle now. Would events going on at the UW be considered local enough to merit posting?
