Okay, it is possible for users to create unique content.  I've laid down the ground rules.  Anyone who feels like blowing off steam off of OB can pop over there if they feel the urge.

Vermin of the Week is Pizza Hut.

Anyone who posts on Olyblog will get automatic "author" status by registering with their OB handle.  (As soon as I see the registration, I will update your status, until then all you can do is comment on existing posts.  With author status you can create content.)

Now my page isn't a substitute for a full blown and functioning community forum like OB.  It is mainly my page.  But as an experiment I've decided to expand it's functionality a bit.  Weirdos who have problems on OB can post stuff over on my page and lessen some of the tension here, and I get content.  It's win-win.

Have fun!

There was a question over at this post about what exactly the draft noise ordinance actually says. I found it over at the city's planning commission page.

Happy reading. In short, it looks like the limits for commercial spaces (the hot topic) are 65 at the building's wall and 60 within a living space.

A few weeks ago this rainbow was painted on this power pole downtown, near State & Columbia. Since then, the tagging stopped on the pole, and it made the corner look nice and bright.

Today when I came home I saw that it had been painted over, back to grey, a fresh canvas for more tags and junk.

I can understand painting over tagging, since it asserts 'ownership' over a certain area, but this was a rainbow.

I wonder why it was painted over back to grey, and who did it- PSE, City of Oly? The nearby Les Schwab?

One of my online classmates asked me the following: "I am organizing a lunch meeting in Olympia for four people and having trouble finding a place that will deliver a sandwich tray. Do you know of any delis that might deliver? It's in downtown Olympia, if that makes a difference." I walk home for lunch so I'm not real connected to this scene. Any suggestions/ideas?

Any thoughts?

I finished last night and got a chuckle out of the "call to arms" for CJ and blogging that the author closes with-
