I was going to just pm this, but decided others may find it valuable. Is there a way to bypass the call to microsoft when I feel like reinstalling windows xp on my machine? Twice I've had to call due to a motherboard change, and it's kind of frustrating talking with them. Do you know of a way to bypass that?

You can buy a copy of Windows VIsta

the Ultimate version from me. Unopenned box. I didn't have to call no body.

Frustration

My understanding is that once you need to call for activation, you're required to do so each time thereafter.  It can be painful, I know.  The call centers are regionally based and I'd suggest you call between the hours of 10am and 2pm.  If you are calling earlier or later, there's a good change you will encounter a language barrier.

I hope you didn't pay full price for that, Gug!  You know I can get it for $45 + tax, right?

I am SO hitting you up!

Games, too.

I can also get PC and XBOX games that *WE* make (including Bungie).  My only ask is that I have the money up front.  In the rare event that I won't be in Redmond to buy locally I can order it online.  Most XBOX games are $25 (Halo3, PGR, etc.) and PC games are usually no more than $20 (FSX, etc.).

This offer is open to anyone on the blog.  I have a $1200 purchase limit at these discounts annually.  Once it's gone, it's gone.  It renews in July.  I think I've spent $200 so far this year, maybe less.  I can accept no extra money or gifts for doing this so please don't temp me!
