Baby horned owls spotted this weekend at the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge.

You too can see these baby horned owls. Go to the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. Take the boardwalk trail. You should find the owls on your left, just before the junction with the boardwalk leading to the twin barns. There is a $3 charge per family to enter the refuge.

They're just beggining to take short branch-to-branch flights, so they should be easy to find for a little while longer.

I'd like to get a bigger lens, so I would have to crop the heck out of these shots.  But those big lenses are too darned expensive for a rank amature like me. Too bad there isn't a place in town were you can rent them.
