The Beatles, Van Morrison and the Capital Youth Symphony!

You’ve Got to See These Kids! 

The Capital Youth Symphony is excited to announce their Winter Concert to be held Sunday, March 7, 3:00 pm, at the Minnaert Performing Arts Center at South Puget Sound Community College. The program for the three symphony groups is below.

 The Junior Symphony, whose members are at the middle school or beginning high school level, will perform: Moondance by Van Morrison, A Beatles Medley including Blackbird and Let it Be, and Final Countdown by Joey Tempest.

The String Philharmonic, whose members are at the advanced elementary or beginning middle school levels, will perform: Doodlin’ Digits by John Caponegro; Emigration Trail by Robert S. Frost; Accents by Robert S. Frost; and Sailor’s Song by E. Grieg.

The Youth Symphony, whose members are the advanced high school level, will perform: Rasputin by Jeff Ball; Nocturne from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by Felix Mendelssohn; and Symphony #80 in D minor by Joseph Haydn.

Concert tickets are $14.50 for adults and $12.50 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased at the box office or at www.olytix.org.
