What a beautiful fall day in Olympia. Crisp blue sky ringed with puffy white clouds. November bliss!

Slipped down to the Farmer's Market about Noon to restock my apple and veggie bins. Amazing crowd for a November morn -- singles, couples, and families pondering their purchases, laughing, visiting ... great sense of community. Then on to Bayview for lunch overlooking the bay. Roused myself to come home and prune in my flower garden.

Sun ... conversation ... friends ... exercise. All wrapped up in beautiful setting. That's Olympia to me this fine day. What's it to you?

I Agree!

I'm just a big weenie though and didn't want to risk taking my 3 & 4 year old grandsons down to the market out of fear they might be in danger with the protest.  So we're playing here at grandma's house and then we're off to watch my grandson's state playoff game tonight.  It's bound to be a gorgeous night for football after the great day we've had!

Protests...

I planned to walk around Olympia with my 4-year old, my 2-year old, my 7-month old, and my wife, but after seeing the protestors and riot-cops gathering, it didn't seem like a good idea.

I agree

I was there taking photos of the protest and got to taste some pepper spray.

beautiful day

slid the 16 ft Glasply across the mirror-like Scott Lake in search of waterfowl to gaze at and fish to be caught and released.

Also made Onry snort her coffee.

Was mighty pretty

I spent a half hour down at the port talking with cops and looking at the patriotic display at the port entrance....was rather quiet, I saw a few folks down at the freeway entrance as well.

THEN I decided to give some money to the city of Lacey (Oly is embarassing this week) picked up some ammo, and drove up to puyallup to send some rounds downrange. Very nice day, all in all.
