 Jon is doing a Halloween Countdown, posting something daily on scary fun stuff Allie gets into the spirit with Enjoy the Creepy Digs, Yo! Jeremy asks Are you a Basher? Fred writes a Samhain Meditation, including: Samhain is the turning point, the threshold, where the veil between spirit and matter is thin as a whisp. We sense a world of souls around us. We sense the Holy Spirit vibrating in the silence. We sense the spirits of the newly departed, who wish us farewell before commencing their journey. We sense the spirits of the plant kingdom and animal-guides celebrating the harvest with us. We sense the presence of our ancestors, to whom we make offerings of love on the alter of the heart's remembrance. What do you have planned for this season?

We love Halloween at our
Submitted by OperaGirl on Wed, 10/10/2007 - 8:35am.We love Halloween at our house. We spend an obnoxious amount of time wandering down the aisles of Halloween goodness at any store we happen to be at. No "country cute" big eyed painted pumpkins or scarecrows for us!
*I am that person who doesn't throw out rotting things because they're scary and who kills wasps by spraying things on them and screaming.*
