I browse through posts on the Oly public Bloglines several times a day. Bloglines has a clipping feature so I'm able to clip anything I find of interest and save for my next Blog Local post.

Here is what has caught my attention recently along with a tease from each:

The full moon is swallowed by a dragon
As Earth’s shadow slowly drifted across the moon, Rej and I talked about the celestial process in play, the theories of how the moon came to be and tried to decide what would happen if the moon suddenly disappeared from our sky.

Italian Plums
This week has been in the 80’s and clear and people are starting to hand out free produce!

Lacey a step ahead of global warming
Scientists warn about water troubles lying ahead if climate trends continue...

Make the Best Better
First of all, education is about teaching. We must maintain an atmosphere that will allow us to recruit and retain the very best teachers, principals and administrators.

Update
Sometimes, when I get home from work, having given out several sleeping bags and tarps to families with little children, I look around at the scattered books, the fruit bowl on the dining table, my boots in the corner, and the couch in my living room and wonder to myself, "What in the heavens am I doing here?" I can't shake the feeling that this house has no purpose or redeeming value.
