I wanted to take the time to share some things I have learned about the war since my husband left. Im sure most people will throw comments down about how he/I are brain washed or whatever. That Im just parroting what the President says, however its nothing near that. The President is my husband's boss and I respect him and the choices he has made.

Here are some truths that I have learned...

 1. Most of what we see on TV is very old news. By old many things have occured months prior.

2. Out of the news we see here about 10% is accurate.

3. Most of the attacks are not directed at our troops but at their own people. Our troops... vehicles and such end up in a bad place at the wrong time.

4. The region  is much bigger than most people realize... the size of the North East.

5. Soldiers are really helping neighborhoods gain some security and a sense of safety. There are really some great relationships with the people the protect among the soldiers.

6. The vehicles that many people are protesting are keeping our soldiers who must go to war alive. They are specifically designed for this type of warfare.

I have so many more but Im not even sure how this will go over. There really are so many things that are not true that we see every day. Please keep that in mind...

I think having the right to prosest is important... but understand that standing in front of men and women yelling the chants said on the video is really insulting to them and their families.  They are doing their job they are helping... I know people dont see it but they are....

Prostesting isnt going to change the war.... instead youre saying hateful things at the people who honestly care about the country...Keep that in mind

God Bless our Troops - - - may they come home safe

After the comments in the post about my husband I am through. I will make one last challenge that ... even though that many people on this blog do not support that war that you respect the soliders.

The insults and remarks made about my husband are bull.. and I frankly want nothing to do with it. I was hoping to enlighten people about another view point. However, there are too many people on here who want to slam my husband... and therefore me because he is a soldier.

The majority of people are misinformed about the war, the job of the soldiers, and what is actually occuring over there. I encourage people to step back...

I will continue on with my life without being spoken to like I am a half wit... who is brain washed by the Army. My husband isnt a liar and probably would be friends with many of the haters on here because you wouldnt even know he was a soldier until he brought it up.

I am deeply saddened by the comments of some on this site. I highly doubt I will ever return because the disrespect for a soldier is something I DONT TAKE LIGHTLY....

"It’s hard to put those, those feelings and emotions into words. I mean, it, it—they’re so, they’re so complex and because they’re,   someone who trains, someone’s who is a soldier and who’s mission is to save you and, and that person goes in there and does it, and accomplishes a mission, if you’re on the receiving end of that, it’s, it’s (unintelligible) on a mission. I mean, it’s your life and you, you owe these people, I owe these people my life. And they’re, they’re, they’re the finest of the finest, they’re the best of the best. Um, I had to see them before I left. I had to. "

IF YOU'RE NOT IN LOVE WITH A SOLDIER

Author Unknown

If you're not in love with a soldier, you can't know adventure. You don't
know smelly gray PT uniforms that require a daily washing.  You can't
understand green and brown camouflaged bags flooding your bedroom floor.

If you're not in love with a soldier, you can't understand the meaning of the
phrase "going  to the field" and the weeks you spend away from each other.

If you're not in love with a soldier, you can never imagine the hole in your
heart when that phone call comes? "Honey, I am leaving tomorrow to go
overseas.  I don't know how long I will be gone or exactly where I am going,
but I want you to know that I love you - always!"

If you're not in love with a soldier, you don't know what it's like to say
that final good-bye. You don't know what it really means to be glued to the
television. You don't understand fear and you can't possibly understand the
sleepless nights of endless crying wondering if you will ever see the love
 of your life alive again.

If you're not in love with a soldier, you can't know the immense joy, the
uncontrollable smile, or the butterflies in your stomach when you see your
soldier march into the family waiting area upon redeployment.  You can't
understand the self-control it takes to stand on the other side of the room
