my friend and riding compatriot had her bike stolen yesterday out of her garage. It was open for only a few minutes and then poof! Gone was the bike. It wasn't a $5000 bike, but it was used everyday for transportation so if anyone sees this bike, please let me know.

The partculars: 2001-02 Specialized Rockhopper, baby blue with black accents and Manitou forks.
New LX shifters
New Bontrager seat
Standard freeride platform pedals

Here's a photo if it helps. I'm not rife with reward money, but have more fresh homemade strawberry jam (Spooner Farms, yeah!) than you could ever eat, plus a nephew who works in a bike shop should you ever need help, parts, etc. We're hoping for it's swift return! If spotted, please call 360.280.8132

After a long absence and letting the original Crackhole.com domain expire, I'm back with a new blog.  The Crackhole v3.0

The RSS is active there and it has a substance survey that my wife is doing as a personal project for school to get a better understanding of different opinions and views and personal experiences. Nothing too heavy mind you. You can post responses anonymously there if you're so inclined.

I've missed OlyBLog and after a year in Oly, I just discovered Buck's 5th ave ( talk about a DUH moment!) and have been spending a ton of time in Capitol Forest working on clean up projects, both personal and with others and biking like mad.

Cheers all!

Tiem Thuc Forgotten: 3 generations of women's oral histories from the vietnam war.

A short film by Amanda Nguyen, depicting a struggle contrasting what is ingrained in our subconscious minds and the forgotten experience of a lived reality.

Amanda, currently attending TESC, went to her homeland of Vietnam and documented three generations of struggle with the war. Knowing Amanda, there's going to be some serious power behind this. Amanda doesn't poke at things with a stick, she hits them with purpose and effect.

I promise, this will be worth seeing.

TESC, Thursday, June 15th

Recital Hall in the Com Building - Films start at 7:00 pm - Amanda's starts at 7:25

Be careful what you blog...you might end up in prison. The question here isn't guilt over the crime, but if there is a difference between writing in a personal journal on paper and one online. In order to obtain the one on paper, they would have to have a search warrant - but post it online for everyone to see and you find yourself subject to any laws concerning the content. More than one blogger has been arrested for a posting and more will happen, The question is how do you feel about blog posts being used as evidence?

From today's AP headlines:

An 18-year-old passenger who caused a fatal crash by pulling on the steering wheel pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter after prosecutors discovered a confession on his online blog.

More on the flip side...

Is it me or does anyone else find it ironic that the same day that the extension of the Patriot Act gets quashed, other senators are calling for investigation into the NSA and their use of surveillance inside the US without court order? I'm not shocked that the NSA is listening in, I'm shocked that the Senators are shocked.

Didn't someone tell them that stopping terrorists inside our own borders far outweighs any civil rights we had?

Sheesh.

if you go to Google, type in failure and hit the I'm feeling lucky button, you'll get a fun surprise.
