Woo hoo! The power is finally back on! Holy &#$! the place is a mess. Huddling and body heat are amazing things. Our perishables perished. Wow.

we got our power back yesterday too...although not until we'd chickened out and gotten a hotel room.

we put our milk and frozen OJ into a cooler with ice on our carport, and they made it through just fine.  to be honest, I don't think I've *ever* had milk that cold before!  (and pretty much everything in the freezer stayed frozen.  one benefit to it being so damn cold when the power went out.)
