Whether its actually olybloggers getting worked up easily, or some of the issues brought up are super polarizing...Why does this community get worked up so much so quick?

Of course, if I'm going to ask a question like that I'm probably going to provide my opinon. A good part would be the fact we can hide behind our keyboards and computer screens and talk tough.

Shouldn't we make it more clear that we are attacking each other's point of views? Not eachother? 

I say this because I've been sucked into some of the recent polarizing blogs, and I honestly try to be a calm person, its a goal of mine, yet when I get on here I get caught up in all of this stuff, its my fault I take responsibility, I'm offering an apology.

This is a hard issue to tackle in a single blog, and I don't really know if I want to invest the time and wherewithall into making a multi-part blog about Mind-Control goodness.

I will start from the basis that mind control is a fact. I think most people would only agrue to the degree of mindcontrol that is possible. 

With that said:

Is it possible that things like school shootings are a result of said mind control? Would a government such as ours that is heading towards Totalitarianism benefit greatly from the disarming of its citizens? Whether via the Fascist route or the Socialistic/Communism route, both can (and if you ask me will) lead to Totalitarianism.  Hasn't there been talk about the shooters being "mentally unstable" or using anti-depressants? Paxil is known to cause suicidal thoughts in its users and was pulled from the market for that reason.

US film director Steven Spielberg has withdrawn as an artistic adviser to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

In a statement, he accused China of not doing enough to pressure its ally Sudan to end the "continuing human suffering" in the troubled western Darfur region.



"At this point, my time and energy must be spent not on Olympic ceremonies, but on doing all I can to help bring an end to the unspeakable crimes against humanity that continue to be committed in Darfur."

He added: "Sudan's government bears the bulk of the responsibility for these on-going crimes but the international community, and particularly China, should be doing more."

WASHINGTON—A group of Nobel Peace laureates sent a letter to Chinese President Hu Jintao Tuesday urging the Beijing Games host to uphold Olympic ideals by pressing its ally Sudan to stop atrocities in Darfur.

"As the primary economic, military and political partner of the Government of Sudan, and as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, China has both the opportunity and the responsibility to contribute to a just peace in Darfur," said the letter.

"Ongoing failure to rise to this responsibility amounts, in our view, to support for a government that continues to carry out atrocities against its own people," said the letter, released on a day of events by the Save Darfur Coalition.

The letter was signed by Nobel Peace laureates Bishop Carlos Belo, Shirin Ebadi, Adolfo Perez Esquivel, Rigoberta Menchu, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Elie Wiesel, Betty Williams and Jody Williams. Other signatories included Western politicians, former Olympic athletes and entertainers, including actress Mia Farrow.

Farrow has spearheaded the coalition's global campaign to press China to change its policies in Sudan. Beijing sells weapons to the Sudanese government and buys oil from it.

WASHINGTON—The U.S. government ruled Tuesday that meat and milk from cloned animals and their offspring is as safe as other food, but pressed firms that produce clones to hold off on bringing them into the food supply.

"Extensive evaluation of the available data has not identified any subtle hazards that might indicate food consumption risks in healthy clones of cattle, swine or goats," the Food and Drug Administration said in a final risk assessment that confirmed preliminary findings from 2006.
