ANOTHER NAZI BITES THE DUST!
» IT'S LIFE IN PRISON FOR 18 YEAR OLD SKINHEAD RACIST DAVID HENRY TUCK. THIS PIMPLE ON THE TUCHUS OF SOCIETY GOT HIS JUST DESSERTS TODAY FROM A HOUSTON, TEXAS JURY. IT GOES TO PROVE THAT SOUTHWEST JUSTICE PREVAILS! YA-HOO! ON A SERIOUS NOTE - IT'S AN OBSCENITY THAT SHOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED TO THAT YOUNG HISPANIC MAN. YEAH, HE MIGHT OF BEEN WHERE HE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN, DOING SOMETHING HE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DOING, BUT NO ONE DESERVES THAT KIND OF VIOLATION TO THEIR BODY. PEOPLE LIKE TUCK ARE A DISGRACE TO HUMANITY. TUCK'S LAWYER SAYS JESUS WOULD HAVE COMPASSION ON HIS CLIENT. WHO KNOWS? WHAT I DO KNOW IS THAT DAVID HENRY TUCK GETS NO COMPASSION FROM ME. LET HIM AND ALL WHO THINK LIKE HIM ROT IN JAIL.

It is hard to show people

I'm sorry to see anyone
Submitted by Jade on Fri, 11/17/2006 - 11:13pm.What this kid did was truly horrific. He needs serious help, and so does someone who would sympathize with such a repulsive act because they thought they jived with the guy's political leanings or whatever. If I were in a position to, I would defend anyone, even a Nazi from such an attack. I think most people would. That's how I think of Christ's love-protecting the vulnerable, and being nonviolent.

That's the first thing I thought when I read this post as well. Mike posted an idea on another thread several weeks back which would create a warden incentive program for successfully resocialized convicts that makes more sense to me with every breathing moment. The current prison system seems to do more to inculcate hate and criminality than help and protect individuals and society.
"It is a rare mind indeed that can render the hitherto non-existent blindingly obvious. The cry 'I could have thought of that' is a very popular and misleading one, for the fact is that they didn't, and a very significant fact it is too."
The Promise of Restorative Justice
Submitted by Robert Whitlock on Sun, 11/19/2006 - 8:32pm.Perhaps he will discover a new appreciation for himself, a new respect for other human beings. Kindness can work wonders.
Restorative justice:
"Restorative justice is a theory of justice that emphasizes repairing the harm caused or revealed by criminal behaviour. It is best accomplished through cooperative processes that include all stakeholders."

Submitted by Nikki on Fri, 11/24/2006 - 6:19pm.From the stuff that has been written about Tuck, it appears that he has been in trouble ever since he was a very young teen. He has marched down the street in his neighborhood carrying a Nazi flag and Sieg Heiling. He was involved in another hate crime, I believe, at the age of 15. In situations like this, I see David as a victim as well. Where was the help when his tendency to embrace the bizarre and reprehensible became evident? According to news and police reports, he flew a Nazi flag from the family home - where was his mother? Where were all of the counselors and mental health groups at that time?
What Tuck and Turner did was absolutely despicable - but whoever is responsible for turning these young men into monsters should share some of that responsiblity as well.
