Invitation to clown with Olympia's only official clown alley, the Red Nose Brigade (est. 1994) Our Junior Joey program needs young clowns (18 years and under) who march to the beat of a different drummer. We start the 2008 parade season with the Lacey Spring Fun Fair on Saturday May 17. The theme is Hysterical Hats and Homegrown Music.
We will meet at the home of our resident Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Graduate, Sprout the clown. The alley will provide assistance with basic character development and make-up. However, due to the wide variety of styles and sizes of clowns, Junior Joeys will be expected to bring their own costumes or clown-like clothing. Keep in mind the following guidelines. White face clowns are the fanciest clowns. They like black & white formal wear, pastels, and metallic fabrics. Auguste (red face) clowns are the loudest. They like primary colors. Hobo/Tramp clowns are the messiest clowns. They wear oversized/ undersized/ mismatched or torn clothes. Character clowns are funny lookin’ doctors, firemen, police, cooks, etc. If you have a costume we can make it funnier. Please avoid T shirts or other garments with writing, logos, pictures from TV/ Movies. Contact Justin Wright (Jusby the Clown) for more details @ 888-2729 or jusbytheclown@yahoo.com

Happy Mother's Day!
California Taco Truck on Harrison They asked what I wanted. I said, "Chipotle!" I ordered the Mexican Sausage Burrito instead and waved at the traffic while they cooked it. It was delicious. It took two sittings to finish. Meet my little guy, Meredith. He never knew his birth mother. He's adopted.

From Grampa Dave AKA 'Grumps'
Frogtown TalesChapter 1 – In the beginningsPart 1 getting the land
We had been looking for new house ever since Julie moved in to McMunn, March 1984.
It's a long story about McMunn and pretty boring too. The place sucks and I just keep it fixed up enough so it doesn't fall down. Julie wanted to replace the moldy tattered carpet but I pointed out that it would be a major hassle and we wanted to move to a bigger place any way. I keep caulking up the cracks to keep the gales to under force 4.

Once upon a time (around 1998), I lived with my best friend, Luke Turner in Cooper's Glen apartment 22.He's got some quirky dietary habits, like eating the exact same meal while alternating two brands of ingredients for variety. Case in point: pancakes, or as he calls them, "syrup sponges". During that time frame, he liked to switch between two shapes of basically identical plastic bottles of syrup. For some reason, we accumulated all the empties instead of throwing them away. I thought it would be funny to rebrand them as water bottles and came up with the following illustration for Maypole Syrup.

I replied to this thread on Oly Blog, calling for sponsors "to recognize (and reward) the individual contributions of an Olyblogger. " I'm offering a "Special Visit" in exchange for an icon linking to my site. They get more than 100K page loads a month. I'm giddy that I've been breaking 1K page loads a month. Well worth the $75 value.

I met with Bruce Fogg at the downtown library and he feels the need to do something reunion-y. He knew doranne for 23 years! Mara West thinks she'll have to pick up Kelly Coyle + kidlet on the way through Humboldt. Deborah Butler agrees that the end of June will work.

My wife does love me. She does not love chipotle, but she knows that my dalliance with all things associated with this smoked jalapeño is completely innocent. And completely inane, but it keeps me out of bars.We have gone many rounds over the types of tortillas we buy, however. She will not abide with the mainstream bleached white flour kind adulterated with poisonous partially hydrogenated fats! I, however, have different standards.I factor in a variety of issues:
When you're stuck in a shopping rut you'll run out of options. Each grocery store has a limited variety of brands it will stock. Since we usually shop at either Fred Meyer or the Oly Food Coop we usually see the same brands over and over again. Even though we sometimes will go to Safeway, Thriftway or Top Foods we still usually see the same main players. Then she went to Mega Foods and brought home these Tumaro's Chipotle Tortillas... bless her heart. They're available on Amazon too! Click that sucka!
