I'm boggled. I'm not a huge fan of Al's, and I can understand why people wouldn't want to listen to him, but not listening to the science behind it seems a little silly.

Equal time for END TIMES?
Submitted by jlw on Thu, 01/11/2007 - 3:21pm.Here's a quote from the article:
"Condoms don't belong in school, and neither does Al Gore. He's not a schoolteacher,'' said Frosty Hardison, a parent of seven who doesn't want the film shown at all.
''The information that's being presented is a very cockeyed view of what the truth is,'' Hardison told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. ''The Bible says that in the end times everything will burn up, but that perspective isn't in the DVD.''
A cockeyed view of the truth, as opposed to a discussion of the END TIMES?I'm sorry, but I don't think science and fringe fanatics should get equal time in schools. I'd like to challenge Frosty and others who share his disdain for science to renounce all the comforts of modern technology which science has made possible.
And Frosty apparently

You cannot see it, but from this end of the screen I am rolling my eyes at you. It's actually quite funny, I wish you were here to see it. Have a nice day mike.

Submitted by Norm on Fri, 01/12/2007 - 1:12pm.Mike just has a habit of poking at me for displaying middle of the road traits when he truly believes that I'm a far-reaching right wing kinda guy.
Obviously the feminist side of me that you might see, Janet, is completely fake.

Submitted by Norm on Fri, 01/12/2007 - 2:59pm.Oh no, I don't stand next to Frosty. How in the world did I come across that way?
I always felt bad for the kids that had permission slips not to do things at school. Sex ed and Schindler's List are the two that come to mind. I can't imagine how left out they felt.
If Frosty is so darn right, shouldn't he be able to explain to his children how right he is? Even with other viewpoints being presented?
Yes, my guess is that Frosty

Frosty seems a little.....yeah I can't think of a good term. Help me out here Mike, besides "middle of the road" what's a good term to define Frosty and his though process/behavior?

he wasn't the distraction, he was the "attraction".
Yes, it almost seems like satire. Which is why I posted it. I read it and had to start over again because I'm sure I misread something.
As for Gore, as much as I don't like his politics, or his delivery, the man is incredibly smart. Again, I don't agree with him on everything, but I'm sure when I catch the video I will agree with it.
Then again, some of the threads I've read here lead me to believe it doesn't make a F&%$ing difference what we do, it's already too late. SO we may as well go out, have margaritas and mexican food every friday, buy that really expensive car we always wanted (probably won't live long enough to pay it off) and enjoy the heck out of life.
What we do or don't do says
