CNN is (www.cnn.com) projecting some pretty dismal looking number for the GOP. I think I called this one in another thread. Control of the house, 3 more seats ( could be a longshot here ) for the senate. This could be good news politically for some (myself included for most issues ).

It looks like a few more states have jumped on the "ban gay-marriage" bandwagon. Michigan looks to pass a law that says schools cannot use race or gender for application purposes, likewise for employment. Arizona looks to decide english to be it's official state language, and to require all voters to have valid ID....the "One vote will win 1million dollars" initiative looks like it's failing though.

Dan Kimball looks to be beating Howard Thronson quite well. 920 and 933 are both failing. 937 is slightly ahead. Cantwell, Baird and Smith all appear to be winning....huge shocker I know.

So this is my up to date quarter after 10pm relayed new for y'all.

Judging by the shift in the house and the slight shift in the senate...Norm is going to be investing in firearms over the next 2 years.

Merry Election Day One and All!!!!

Gloomy GOPers

Not so much, when you consider that there isn't a huge difference between the two parties. It's not like they are losing to the socialist party, or the workers' party. If the Democrats do find themselves in the majority, it would be great if they would sponsor some real investigations into the White House's conduct, as well as the conduct of congress itself. The problem is that many of the democrats, (most really) are guilty of playing the same money games as the Republicans. Corruption, I am afraid, is a bi-partisan endeavor.

Well, Dem's are down to just

Well, Dem's are down to just needing 2 seats in senate, Montana and Virginia, and both races look to be leaning slightly towards the Dems. This could be an interesting 2 years.

Well, it appears CNN is now

Well, it appears CNN is now projecting that Montana is going blue in the tester vs. burns race. This leaves Virginia (Webb-D vs Allen-R) in the balance with Webb looking to be ahead by almost 7,000 votes.

Go to www.cnn.com for more information.

Yet another update ( I'm

Yet another update ( I'm doing this in case others aren't paying close attention ) Sen. Allen has conceded ( a very humble act imo ) to, now, sen. elect Jim Webb in Virginia. For those of you who aren't keeping score, that makes the house....and the senate both under democrat control next year.

In short, forget the next two years. If you are dying to buy that gun you've always thought about getting, get it before January.

Love and Respect,

Norm

i'm not worried about buying a gun before Jan.

but I am kind of interested in having a bullet proof vest, would this be a costco item?

Well, it is illegal to

Well, it is illegal to own/wear one in certain states/cities. As far as I know Washington is not one of those places...yet. I'm not sure if it's illegal but I'm sure it's frowned upon if you wear one during the course of a crime. If you are serious about information on ballistic vests feel free to look at this site:  http://www.bulletproofme.com/   It's quite informative and has some great prices for gently used vests.
