Yeah i saw that too..
Although, having spent alot of time in both places, I still personally feel safer in OLY, just because it is alot smaller..

We have *elevated* rates of the following (OC or others may know more details):
-Rape and Property Crime-
And *low* rates of:
-Assault and Murder-
For me though, honestly, its the safest place I have seen yet (And ive been all over this country).
And yeah, its a capitol and college town so thats a big reason (*As well as geographic location)
But it is also very *literate* and dare I say *artsy*..
And for some reason, and I dont know why exactly, that stuff seems to help keep crime low..
The role Art plays in society, as a sort of social pacifier, probably deserves some copy here on Olyblog..
