May 18th, 19th at 7:30pm and May 20th at 2pm the Olympia Choral Society along with members of the Olympia Symphony will be presenting the powerful Mozart Requiem.  All concerts are FREE!  So come on down to the North Thurston Performing Arts Center (located right next to North Thurston High School) and see your very own Olyblogger, Operagirl, as the soprano soloist!  =)

Sounds like fun

I like Mozart. I didn't know you were a soprano. I hope this concert goes well. You know you can post this as an event too. One idea is to do a double header... post again in a couple weeks or something.

Mozart is great. Just last

Mozart is great. Just last week I got a two-disc collection of some of his earliest symphonies, the ones he wrote between ages 8 and 12. Awesome stuff.

K.19a is one of the better ones.

Fundraising Activity Idea

How about this for a fundraising activity for the Society? In exchange for a reasonable donation, your group could perform songs written and composed by local people. Look under "Zip! Poink!" in the Obscuro Comix Sound Effect Dictionary to read my submission. I bet you guys could really stretch that one out to a beautiful 10 minute rendition. I asked this group to sing it, but they turned me down for some odd reason.
