This is beautiful... really just perfect. Meta got a postcard advertisement from the Capital Playhouse today: Jeff Kingsbury is SCROOGE, The Musical.

That's right people, believe it. Even as he uses his city council position to hurt homeless people, Jeff Kingsbury plays Scrooge onstage at his job. I wonder if he finds any irony in this?

The play will be showing Nov 30th @7:30PM, Dec 1,6,7,8,13-15 @7:30PM, Dec 2,9,16,20,&21@2:00 & 7:30PM, Dec 3 & 10 @2:00PM and 7:00PM.

I'm thinking of a picket... can you guess the time?

Costumes.

I'm thinking a good picket ought to include some Tiny Tim costumes. I think we've got a pair of crutches around the house somewhere...

What do you guys think about picket slogans... Will the Real Scrooge Please Stand Up... or Tell Kingsbury to Stop Scrooging the Poor... how about God Bless Us, EACH AND EVERY ONE!

Are there no prisons and workhouses for the poor?

It is not without irony that we have been dealing with this very same situation since the time of Dickens. It seems that the only progress we can make is to continue making laws targeting the poor. In the old days, I must say, at least they were honest about it and called it what it was. Today we have elected officials saying they are being fair and not really targeting the poor, young, and homeless at all. They just want Olympia to be a better place for all, minus the poor, the homeless, and the young.

"I would make it impossible for the covetous and avaricious to utterly impoverish the poor. The rich can take care of themselves."

I know one multiple scenario the Ghost of Christmas Past could show Scroogebury, something that's recently changed the tide for more than one Republican Politicians.
