1.     janky

(adjective) inferior quality; held in low social regard; old and delapidated; refers almost exclusively to inanimate material objects, not to people

"We tried to pick up on these girls waiting for the bus, but I was driving my sister's janky 1989 geo metro so we just got clowned instead.."

2.     Janky

Poorly constructed or of poor quality

"This janky shirt she gave me is falling apart.."

3.     janky

Adjective used to describe a person, place or thing which is questionable, fucked up, wrong, strange, broken down, undesirable, and/or just some thing you can't think of another word for. The origin of this word is explained somewhat in the conversation example.

'Friends and I were sitting around drinking coffee one morning, and I was bitching about my empty cup when my friend blamed the lack of coffee on the "janky ass coffee maker."

4.     Janky

Poorly constructed or put together, and does not seem like it should function at all, although it may perform beyond expectations.

"That entire computer system is janky.."

5.     Janky

A conjunctive form of both skanky and junky, thus denoting something both gross and in poor condition.

"My friend, Larry, lives in a real shit-hole. There's dirty socks on the couch and it smells of bong-water. Man, that place is janky!"

6.     janky

An undesireable item that has both bad taste in style and quality.

"That old shoe is janky.."

7.     Janky

Undesirable; less-than optimum.

"Your mother cooks janky collard greens.."

I was hit by a truck a few weeks ago while crossing a crosswalk.. The driver was drunk, and I was lucky and lived..I suffered alot of damage to both of my legs, including a fractured tibia and fibula on my left leg. These fractures, road wounds, and subsequent repairs (involving a titanium rod and a bunch of screws) left my left leg a big red sausage..I came to find out, with injuries like this, dangerous blood clots become an issue. They put me on Baxter Heparin injections in the hospital. Heparin is a blood thinner used to deal with blood clots. When I arrived home last week, I began to read stories about Heparin being recalled.

Word is that 19 people are dead because of contaminated Heparin turning up in the United States (as of today in Germany too)

Here is an article talking about the recall and causes..

Im posting this because the FDA is not letting the patients themselves know that they are taking a potentially contaminated product. I had to personally let my doctor and pharmacy know that this recall was even taking place. They were never formally notified by the FDA or the State of Washington. If you know any patients taking this popular drug, please let them know that all Baxter Heparin is being recalled because it is contaminated..

Thank You..

An Olympia man was arrested early this morning in connection with a hit-and-run accident that left an Rochester man seriously injured.

After receiving an anonymous tip, police arrested Andrew E. Scott, 29, of Olympia at 4:20 this morning. He is now in the Thurston County Jail. Wilson said Scott, who was driving on a suspended license, would be charged with felony hit-and-run.

Washington won’t become the 40th state to authorize police checkpoints as a way to catch drunk drivers - at least, not this year.

A controversial bill in the Legislature that would have let law officers set up sobriety checkpoints is dying quietly in a committee without ever coming up for a vote.

Rep. Pat Lantz, D-Gig Harbor, House Judiciary Committee chairwoman and the measure’s prime sponsor, said “I simply couldn’t get the votes” from enough of her committee members to advance the bill. Today is the deadline for policy committees to pass bills they hope to get through the Legislature this session.

“I have to say I’m disappointed,” Lantz said. The checkpoint bill, House Bill 2771, was one of only a few known ways that could actually prevent drunk-driving fatalities, she said. “We will never get a chance to prove it now.”

Rep. Brendan Williams, an Olympia Democrat and attorney, conducted an e-mail campaign among his colleagues to point out the legal reasons why road blocks would not be a good idea and why they would not withstand a constitutional challenge...

My question for Rep. Brendan Williams is: Since when did driving become a "right", and not a privilege?
