I'd like to follow up on the notion of establishing a board of docents for OlyBlog. Below is a list of roles that would seem to be important to the function of OlyBlog.:
These roles would be in addition to the general assistance provided to the many users who need help periodically getting their posts banged into shape. Of those who have been nominated to be a docent, please feel welcome to choose a role, or suggest a new one (and remember, these are just suggestions).

ahem... begging for a larger portfolio
Submitted by emmettoconnell on Wed, 12/27/2006 - 3:29pm.Anyway, it never worked out, mostly because I committed the first sin of e-democracy: get people to say that they'll participate before you launch. But, I'm hoping we can accomplish something similar here. There are ongoing discussions here (downtown for example) that absolutely beg for being brought off the blogs and into a larger discussion. Also, eventually bringing these discussions into the the in-person would also end up helping olyblog.
So, that's my docent manifesto.
put this on a wiki

I'm confused
Submitted by Sarah on Thu, 12/28/2006 - 8:47am.If you are talking about what I'm doing with bloglines, I can explain further: I'll periodically read through Olympia themed blog posts elsewhere and comment and link some of them here on OlyBlog. I already do some of this anyway, simply getting more focused and organized.
If you mean a wiki for docent only discussion, that could eventually work well, though my first instinct is to create a simple newsgroup for such discussion.
Okay, time for more coffee. :)
