And nobody got hurt. (Although there are some who will be punished for not attending, as soon as the caiman posse catches up with them, poor things.) OlyBloggers in attendance: Sarah, Meta, Phil, Norm, Jade, V-ster, Rob and myself. The band was hot, and in between songs, the conversation alternated between goofy and profound (mostly goofy, I'm glad to report). Here are some pictures from the evening's events:
Here's the initial crew. From the left: Norm, Meta, Rob, and Rick (making the sign of the caiman). Sarah's taking the picture (sorry Jimbo).
This is Meta displaying the caiman symbol: ^@^. Scary.
In this picture, two angry caimans square off in an ancient ritual of caiman fighting.
Norm blogs the action in real time.

No Caimans Here, PLEASE!
Submitted by Crusty on Tue, 06/13/2006 - 8:58am.I am thinking caiman might like those trees in the marshy area, on the path side. Oh caiman! Oh caiman! Why are you swimming in this lake and what did you eat today? Do you want to eat me? I would not be tasty. I am old and stringy, not much meat on my bones. Oh nutria! People are making jokes about cooking you cajun style. I'm sorry. I want to apologize but some humans, you never know what they like to eat. You're safe with me. I like tofu hotdogs.
I will report back if I meet any new friends. I might toss a bit of string cheese in the water and be real quiet and watch. I just hope there are no other dogs around. Loba starts dog parties and then gets mad when they try to lick me. She is a little possessive, that dog, and she's an alpha female. No licking her butt and no licking her mommy. (Male dogs get lustful thoughts at the sight of her. I have shamed many dog owners with that admission. Your dog is lustful. Shorten the leash.)
On the way home...
