We're sitting here at the Broho hopefully waiting for Olycop to walk through the door. To break up the extreme boredom while we wait, we're debating what would be the appropriate theme music to play as he walked through the door. Here's the list so far:

  • Bad to the bone
  • Fist full of dollars
  • Cops (TV series)
  • Folsom Prison Blues
  • R-E-S-P-E-C-T
  • Hawaii Five-0
  • Help (Beatles)

Sorry

Sorry I missed the event.

I was feeling a tad under the weather.

Perhaps next week.

I think I owe several of you a beer!!

Hope

Hope you feel better soon.

You know...

If it makes you feel any better, I never hang out at the BroHo on Mondays with my camera. My sewing circle takes most of my Monday evening - then at 9PM I'm usually at the Anarchist Movie Night at Media Island... so you have nothing to fear but the other Nancy Drews at the BroHo. Maybe you could just wear your Groucho Marx mask (Maybe we should all wear them, just so we know each other!).

BTW, if you want to buy me a beer, you can always bring a growler back from the fishtale alehouse and visit the Island... of course, I think we each owe one another a beer. What's your preference?

No worries

Drew,

I'm sure you have all the photographic data of my face you need from the web site you found, although I'm about 4 years older than that now.  But I don't think I've aged all that much since then.  Just don't use my family's pics is all I ask.  So not coming to the Broho had nothing to do with camera's flashing.  Do so at risk of breaking your lens.  LOL

As long as you guys don't try to mug me, I will let you know when I plan to come to a B/H meeting.  I may bring my wife along as well, so be gentle with me.  :)

Ok, but some details are in order...

I have a question about your current 'look' - one whiskered man to another: wooly worm, handlebar, or cleanshaven? The photos I saw included several styles, though I guess you prefer handlebar if that site is any guide...

Don't worry, I've taken my own picture before with that camera, so the lens is ugly-proofed. Or at least ugly proofed enough to get your current picture ;) LOL.

Currently, but subject to change

A very close-cropped mustache and a sole patch.  But I vacillate between that, mustache alone, and a mustache/goatee.

No hair on the head, so I guess I play with my facial hair.

Weird...

You're telling me that we have the SAME mustache / soul patch style? Too weird. I'm not shaven-headed, but a lot closer to it these days than I used to be. I look more like a retired military guy these days... Thanks to Bryce downtown.

Hmmm

Fistfull of Dollars, or The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly???? Wink

Ok Norm,You're off my

Ok Norm,

You're off my Christmas list!  :)

Oops, that would be a soul

Oops, that would be a soul patch not a sole patch.

Better watch out Drew, you might be mistaken for a cop!!!  ;)

Been there, done that

Done and done. I get called a cop, or treated like one, almost every time I approach someone who does not know me and say I'm with Copwatch. Most people just don't recognize the name enough to know the difference... When they find out what I really am, they usually flip their attitide 100% and thank me profusely. It's really funny. So you can't say I don't know what it's like to have someone suddenly act hostile to you when you were just saying "hello."

Me too

Drew has even helped me out with this one, sometimes the way I write and appear triggers "She's a copper!" fears, Drew has seen this in action on various indy media sites. Drew has been great at reminding folks to think before they hurl opinions and accusations.

I think it's just a paranoid Olympia

I've gotten the same thing. It was a popular thing to call me while watching the stuff at the port. Normally I just get the "Man, are you a cop?" I actually got the "what's your badge number?" down at the port.
»

Sooooo....

What IS your badge number, "Norm" (if, in fact, that is your real name)?
