I napped on the grass
Submitted by Crusty on Sat, 07/15/2006 - 8:36pm.But I laid a sheet on my grass at home and napped with the dog leashed to my waist under a tree. No one could see me. Crenshaw said I slept two hours. The dog never moved. I have a lot of sleep to catch up on and I am putting a hammock in that spot. I also hired some 10 year olds to do the heavier work for me. They are excited because we are building a trail in my woods with a machete so we can get to more fruit and berries. Spending time with the children felt so special. I told their moms I am nome a lot so I can be the neighbor they check with. They do it anyhow because their pets end up at my house. I have the trees, deer, swing, and I am returning my backyard to nature. I love sharing with kids. They are building me a retaining wall of fallen logs from the old tree they used to climb. I told them to be sure to climb the two in my front yard too.
It was a very peaceful day. Then I called the two boys I raised. I was their mommy when they were 10. I told them I support them and love them always but I am no longer a mommy. I am living for myself and by the way I really enjoyed attending a protest for women's rights in a bikini. They were proud of me but they don't want the picture. My daughter has it though. My boys are going to visit and help with the heavier work in fixing up this house. They are each 6'4 now and strong as shit haha. I plan to leave all the tallest ivy on my fir tree for them. But I am doing up to the top of that 20 foot ladder myself!!! Its a pride thing with me. I taught those kids to climb like me and I enjoy it too much to stop. I also taught them to hike and swim like me. They learned to keep house after they grew up. I don't think I ever learned. I am trying to teach Crenshaw haha. He is hiding a lot.
