The Christie and Sarah Prescription for a good morning:
  • drink coffee from B & B
  • sit in Sylvester Park while discussing everything under the sun and moon
  • walk along lake and work as a team to collect trash as the crows direct.

I have to admit

I really like batdorf and bronson. My only problem is that I get the worst heartburn whenever I drink it. No other coffee that I've tasted does this. Any thoughts? I'm not a real coffee snob, so my knowledge is awfully limited in this area.

Coffee

I have that response to Starbucks coffee sometimes.

I bet B&B folks would have some ideas. Might be worth learning what roast and acidity level works for you.

A darker, more-roasted

A darker, more-roasted coffee will be less likely to do that. It'll have less caffeine, though, so you have to choose! I had a favorite roast back in Minnesota called "Velvet Hammer", and when I worked the drive-thru coffee stand I used to describe it to customers: "It's like George Foreman, strong and black, could kick your ass but would rather be kind."

Whiskey gives me the worst

Whiskey gives me the worst heartburn... but I wouldn't give it up for anything. Tums are the answer my friend. They keep yr bones healthy, too.

Tums

they just don't cut it for me. I get it from certain foods, but B and B coffee really hits me hard. I'm not sure what different types we have at work ( we contract through them ) but it tastes really good, and makes my esophagus feel like it's being ripped in half.
