So I'd been pondering this possible project for awhile and today while hanging out at the B&B, I spoke out loud my thoughts. Suddenly everything fell into place. Long Hair David volunteered use of his camera, he also had laptop available. And there was no shortage of examples.

Examples of what? Of fashionable men, of style choices made by men. See, I used to believe that most men really didn't think much about what they wore, after all, aren't their choices rather limited? But I was wrong, wrong, wrong.

I encourage others to post and blog photos of their own observations of fashionable Olympian men.

These are smaller versions of the original photos, so you won't get a close look at all the details. But I figure this is a good way to get this conversation started, sharpen that visual awareness, what are the men around you wearing? Why?

This first photo was taken today in front of B&B by Long Hair David of Ian and Woody. I asked the gentlemen for a few words to describe their style: Ian submitted " functional, dated, kooky" and Woody gave me "noice".

Note the red Pendleton shirt on Ian, the cap, the narrow pants, and those shoes. On Woody, can't quite see it but he has a hip chain on his right side. Notice also the narrow pants, the shoes, the shirt and jacket choice, the shape of those glasses, and the hair.

This photo was submitted by Long Hair David himself. Check out the fingerless gloves, color choice, cap, tats, necklaces, and the cut of the garments. His style word is "self-expression".

And join in on the Bachelor Epiphany of the Day...part II
as we continue to discuss Norm's choice of shoes and tie for an upcoming job interview. Make sure you see Rick's suggestions.

I sure like the sound of

I sure like the sound of this project.  I know an imbeccably dressed man when I see 'em, let me tell you something.  I'll carry my camera with me and if I find any examples, I'll post them.

Snap those photos

Good deal, I look forward to seeing what you catch.

As the season changes, all of us can have even more opportunities to spy those stylish men, as the coats and jackets and hats and mufflers and boots and umbrellas all unfurl.
