Whatever type of digital camera Drew needs, I don't know enough about all the possibilities, so.......whatever he needs to do the work he already does.....lets make that happen.
» Media station at Media Island so folks can work on and upload all this stuff I don't really understand yet and get on OlyBlog and elsewhere. I personally want to learn more about podcasting and I also want to know how to put audio clips on my blog here. I want to learn how to use the Audacity program I have, or at least play around with it enough to know if it is not what I want to be doing at this time. I need new printer ink, memory, pair of cheap headphones, headset for landline and cell phones, a good basic digital camera, and a portable tape recorder. And/or maybe a video recorder. USB drives oh and a laptop with wifi. Along with all the needed cords, cables, microphones, batteries, film, gear bags, and cyborg fashion. I definitely need a headlamp also. (Headlamp needed for when I finally discover The FLOD Cave of Elder Caimans.)

Free Geek.
Submitted by Phil Owen on Mon, 07/10/2006 - 9:49am.[Shameless plug:] Everyone should also consider taking used computers and parts to Free Geek. They rebuild what they can, and recycle the rest for money. This helps low-income people have access to computer technology, and also helps the environment!

Submitted by Phil Owen on Mon, 07/10/2006 - 11:30am.By the way, Norm, (warning: another shameless plug ahead!) if you are looking to volunteer... I might happen to know of, or be acquainted with, or actually be a totally willing slave to, or be really a shameless recruiter for, a particular organization that has a need for volunteers...
