The Washington Post:
"Top Secret America" is a project nearly two years in the making that describes the huge national security buildup in the United States after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. When it comes to national security, all too often no expense is spared and few questions are asked - with the result an enterprise so massive that nobody in government has a full understanding of it. It is, as Dana Priest and William M. Arkin have found, ubiquitous, often inefficient and mostly invisible to the people it is meant to protect and who fund it.
This is a fascinating project, I encourage everyone to read the series and poke around the web site. Top Secret America is most everywhere, including here in Olympia: Global Resource Solutions, Inc.
OLYMPIA - Rabbi Cheski Edelman made a disturbing discovery at The Chabad Jewish Discovery Center on Legion Way on Tuesday morning: Someone had knocked over the nearly 9-foot menorah visible from the street and spray-painted the words "Die Jew" at its base.
You've only lived next door for a few months and you have already made my life somewhat miserable. I wasn't lookin' for trouble, I'd like to subscribe to the -live and let live- philosophy, but you all are very obvious. And rude.
First there was the surveillance you set up, nothing illegal, but something I and others noticed right away. Then there was the foot traffic. The quiet or not so quiet approach to your front door, the quiet knock, the in and out of your place in seconds.
Lots of foot traffic.
Then the patterns. When something would arrive, when there looked to be work parties processing whatever it is, then when something in multiple back packs on multiple kids on multiple skate boards would exit.
I have nick names now for you all. You're dubbed Head Honcho. One of your crew members is Tunes. Two of them I call The Twins, cause they are.

You can find copies around town, I found mine at Vic's Pizzeria up on the west side.
Maybe even read it in public, you might find as I did that folks pipe up with their own opinions around you.
Kudos to OP&L. Lots of us are looking forward to part 2 of that interview.
Olympia Power & Light can justifiably claim to be the talk of the town.

Monday and Tuesday could be the coldest we have seen in a long time...particularly in sheltered spots. My advice...you have delicate plants--cover them with mulch, bags, or whatever you do. Or bring them inside. This is potentially plant killer weather--but we will know more in a few days.
National Weather Service forecast for Southwest Interior includes:
Saturday...Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers...possibly falling as snow in the morning. Highs in the lower 40s.
