Remember awhile back that guy who was, you know, at that place? He had that thing with him, remember? And it rained? You know who I mean, that guy who had that thing with him? It was blue, I think.

Anyway, he wanted me to say "Hi."

I remember the rain...

I remember the rain...   the rest is foggy.  Hi back to that guy, but tell him to put the thing down, it's blue already.
»

Next time I'm at that place

Next time I'm at that place I'll say "Hi" back to that guy. You know that place, right? The place? With the dozen derby hats and the singing duck?

Unforgettable.

Unforgettable.

Oh I get it

It's a guy thing.

Although maybe I don't get it, since it is a guy thing.

Do you guys remember that other thing, remember? On that day.
»

Sure, but the the batteries

Sure, but the the batteries went dead on it, so what good is it?

I never thought about how gender might play a part. I still don't really think it's a guy thing. I know I didn't get it all.  The part with the trombone and the microwave was lost on me, and I usually like trombones.

I think you had to be there, I don't think words can describe what the that guy and the duck.  It was surreal even without the derbies.

But I don't think it was actually blue. I asked around and everybody says you couldn't get them in blue, not there anyway.

Caught on tape

I taped it, that other thing, the one some of us heard. But then a guy told me that it was a secret guy thing, so I gave it to him. The tape. Of that time.

That reminds me, next time I'm told that it is a guy thing, I plan to tape it. Because then I can prove stuff.

Oh, oh, speaking of blue, did you see what happened after that other thing fell? Stuff, man, I'm not kidding, some real stuff happened, I tell you.

As for what you think you heard? You didn't. But he did.
»

Hey, I know exactly when it

Hey, I know exactly when it fell, because some of it hit me.  But prove it, I don't know?  I had no idea there was a tape.  I never heard about that and I went back the very next day.  But by then everybody had picked it up. It wasn't the same.

I'll ask him about it. I trust him mostly.
»

Those were the days

When a tape was a hit, it stuck. Never the same twice except for the ducks singing "dada dada" at the end. Which always came much too soon.

Ask him about that also. You know. He's the Man.

He can even get all those ducks in a row. Over there.

For some reason I have

For some reason I have always felt uncomfortable at that part where the ducks sing at the end. Funny how the most consistent thing at that place during that time (after the guy hits the pinata shaped liked something from a Tim Burton movie with a golf club and out fall dozens of those ... I don't need to go on, do I? We all know about those problematic items!) makes me feel the most on edge.
»

Naturally

Of course you felt on edge, you were on the edge, we kept telling you to step back, but no, you refused to listen. Throwing derbies to the lions is just not worth ending up like a cracked and emptied pinata.

By the way people, those were not ducks. Ever. Even back then. He knows.
»

I am surprised to hear they

I am surprised to hear they weren't ducks, but i knew all along that was no pinata.  Makes me cringe a bit to think about it.  The rain helped.

Oh, and I bumped into the guy and he confirmed the whole thing.  So the second thing is true, he did and I didn't.  That was a shock.

Yes

Yes, now that you ask, that certainly could give one the yips. I do still think the clipboard was entirely unnecessary.
»

Are you kidding, I don't

Are you kidding, I don't think it would have worked without the clipboard.  Are we talking about the same thing?  I'm having a marsupial experience here, but without the night vision. It looks so easy and natural, but then you check in and try to sort out the details and it might as well be rocket science.  At first you think, oh sure, the guy and the ducks again, then you get the big dope-slap.  Not much harm except that my skin got a little scaly and the solution for that is fish oil. But what do I know, ask him yourself. Last I saw him, he was heading west and talking about bringing them back.  Like we need them. But, hey, that's just me.
»

He won't talk with me

He won't talk with me anymore, not since the oil for marigolds debacle. Supposedly I kicked him in the shins but everyone is just minimizing the true situation.

Ask Bob.

I find it more than

I find it more than interesting that no one here has mentioned that incident with the bowling ball and the 7th story window. Of course, there was a lot going on, but as I recall the bowling ball thing (where those people in the robes were singing that song) made everyone else stop and stare in ope mouthed awe for a minute.

RE: "guy thing.."

That Salt Lake Tribune article posted above was very good. Thanks..

Phil & THAT GUY

I read that Phil wrote that someone saw him talking with that guy.
