Anyone watch South Park last night? A repeat will be airing tonight, but it was pretty funny. Tore into 9/11 conspiracy theorists (myself being among them, though not to the degree that they were poking fun at). Last week's World of Warcraft episode was pretty funny, too. I've never played WOW (or even seen it played), but I've heard a lot about it and from everything that I've heard, the episode portrayed the - um - symptoms accurately. It almost made me want to find someone who has the game on their PC and play it.

I saw the prequel to the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre last Friday. It kept my interest, but it's really not that different from the remake a few years back. Nothing I would rush to theaters and see again.

300, however, I'll be one of the first in line to see. I loved Sin City and, judging by the trailer, this is going to blow it away. I'm hoping it jumps ahead of Gladitor and Troy on my "Men with Swords" list.

Alpha Dog should be pretty well made, also. I heard about it a year or so ago but nothing since. I thought maybe it was a dead project but evidently it just took a bit for it to finally hit theaters.

Also Sarah, I don't know if I mentioned it on here or not but I finally got around to watching Brick. Great movie. I loved how it was basically an organized mob story set against a high school backdrop.

Just saw this on the Drudge Report. After listening to Pat Buchanan on Bill Mahr's show last week, I can't help but wonder how bad the border situation is going to get before something is done. I'm not quite sure what that "something" has to be, but it's going to have to be something. Personally, I think it should be a combination of better law enforcement and military resources assigned to the border coupled with an easier and more efficient process for becoming a citizen. I think so long as a person does not have a criminal record in their home country (unless one can demonstrate that the record should be ignored, such as being given a temporary grace period in which employment can be built and no criminal offenses in the United States during that period) they should be extended every opportunity to come into this country. I think that's a reasonable, sound policy.

I'm rooting for Detroit in the playoffs. They haven't won it all since '84 and the 90's didn't treat the franchise very well. It's too bad Alan Trammel couldn't have been at the helm for the turnaround, but it's pretty obvious that Jim Leyland is an amazing manager headed to the Hall of Fame on his first ballot.

Shaun Alexander is out this week, which is about what I figured. A lot of people seem to want him to come back right now, especially after the beat down in Chicago, but we're only in Week 6 (about a third of the way through the season). There's a lot left to play and it's better he miss two games (thank you bye week) than the remainder of the season.

If you want to read one of the most offbeat sports columns, I'd recommend Uni Watch. Paul Lukas breaks down uniforms. He's pretty funny, too.

Gregg Easterbook's Tuesday Morning Quarterback is probably the most intelligent sports column ever. I read it every Tuesday and, if anyone decides to check it out, I think you'll see why.

C'mon over

I play WOW with my youngest son, 20 years old. If you like fantasy gaming, it is very good. There are quite a few spoofs on You Tube about WOW players, very funny stuff.

Can't Knock It

I stopped my subscription to XBox Live, but when I actually lived with roommates we each had our own Live accounts and would have 30' ethernet cables running from each of our rooms to the HUB in the living room.

Let's just say we were geekin' it up on Halo 2 and CounterStrike (with headphones, too!). As a man once said to me: Livin' the dream, livin' the dream.

I've played WoW for a few

I've played WoW for a few months now. It's scary the level of play that some people develop, time investments and such. I actually have "guildmates" who are upset because I'm not playing often enough lately. I have known some fairly addicted folks.

Yup

Some of the spoofs on You Tube make fun of that. The sad thing is, many people live the game.

And lookin tough! (though Grossman owned that defensive backfield...)

Looking forward to seeing Seattle vs Chicago in the NFC Championship!

Seattle definately needs Alexander back soon so they can start running some play action..

Im still not sold on the 4 wide set (not sure is Hasselbeck has the arm for that..)

I think Branch will work out though.....solid pickup..

Tell me it isn't like

Tell me it isn't like Evercrack :(

I loved playing BF42 and CS over in theater. Also we had 12 Xbox's all connected, very cool :). But for gaming, I'm strictly a flight sim guy.

I too am routing for the Tigers.

it is a lot like everquest,

it is a lot like everquest, but far more involved, and much much easier financially and time wise to advance your character.

NWarty

Basic idea is the same for Everquest II and WOW. WOW the game play is vastly superior. The graphics are superior in EQII.
