You people are idiots

I'm so glad that our soldies can work their asses off in the heat so you morons can hit your drum, make your signs, and protest what won't change. I should go down there and protest you on Memorial Day, a day when you should stay home and respect those who make it possible for you to act like an idiot. I'm a Tacoma resident that sees your pictures in the media, yes the media which you protest as well, and you look stupid. There are more pressing issues in the south sound that protesting the people that make it possible for you to protest. Moreover, do you think that ending the war in the middle east will be resolved by you making a sign and getting in the way at the Port of Olympia? I'm going to do all in my power as a citizen, and a well known journalist, to protest you.

Don't you find it...

...kind of funny that people keep saying things like, "The only reason you are allowed to protest is because of these soldiers." And then you tell them not to protest. Kind of a contradiction there, no?

Of course, as a "well-known journalist," you know that the Constitution protects the right of free speech, not the soldiers. The only person who is treatening the Constitution right now is George W. Bush (certainly not Saddam Hussein, nor any other Iraqi).

Finally, if you are going to continue to post here, you can drop the name-calling. If you are, indeed, a "well-known journalist," you should have better manners than that.

go ahead and protest

but if you get in the cops faces, and block traffic, you are trampling all over the rights of other people and you are no better than the things you protest.  And what good are you doing anyway?  The ships are going to continue to go out, insurgents are going to continue to get their asses blasted fighting a so-called "holy war" which apparently you guys support...and all the protesting in the world isn't going to do anything.  I'll laugh at you while you are doing community service for breaking the law...hope they put you to work cleaning up dog crap or something.  SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, don't support the terrorists.

Do us all a favor...

...and stop watching so much FOX News. The world would be a better place.

It is spelled Fox

It is spelled Fox News but it is actually pronounced "Faux News"

I'm not a big fan of Fox

I'm not a big fan of Fox News, but let's get off of the elitism simply because some choose NPR or the BBC.
»

It's not elitism...

...as much as it is accuracy. Fox has decided to wrap itself up in the flag because it can make lots of money doing so. Fine. But there is absolutely now commitment to accuracy on the facts. As Senetor Moynihan said: "Everyone is intitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts."
