This Saturday, November 18th, UFC fighter and anarcho-syndicalist Jeff "The Snowman" Monson will be fighting Tim "The Maine-iac" Sylvia, the current UFC Heavyweight title holder. If Monson can win the match (It would be his 17th UFC win in a row), he'll become the new UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Monson has said that, win or lose, getting this kind of prominence in the UFC is a victory in itself because it gives him a platform to talk about the Iraq War and promote anarchist philosophy live on corporate TV.

The fight will be on pay-per-view, which means nobody I know is going to watch it, unless it's like at a bar or something. (Does anyone know if any local venue is going to play it?)

They seem to have gone

They seem to have gone downhill in popularity. I caught the very first PPV ufc fight with my uncles and some friends and we all decided to stick to football. I know in the martial arts circles I was in it was the "cool thing" to learn a little bit of braz Jiu-Jitsu but it always felt like that kind of phased out of popularity when the Gracie's did.

In short I don't know of a place, but good luck.
