The Olympia Timberland Library is having a small scale book arts show in the front lobby display case for the month of June, and we would love to put your handmade or altered books on display. This is a great opportunity for artists who are interested in displaying their work locally in a casual venue.

Details...

Deadline for submissions: Saturday, May 24th. You can drop your books off at the Olympia Library information desk with your name and contact information attached.

Number of books per artist: 3. Depending on the amount of submissions we get, we may display 1-3 books per artist. We will display as many as we can fit in the case! All submissions will also be shared during our book arts show and tell on June 7th.

Location: display case in the front hall of the Olympia Timberland Library. This is a locked, lighted glass case, approximate dimensions 9.5 feet long x 4 feet tall x 6 inches deep.

Show dates: Sunday, June 1st through Monday, June 30th. Please plan for your books to stay in the display for the entire month.

Book arts show and tell event: Saturday, June 7th from 2-4pm. All of the books on display will be available for handling, and artists are welcome to share tips, ask questions, and talk about their process.

Questions? Contact Kelsey at ksmith@trlib.org or 360-352-0595.
