Notice something a docent does that is just fine by you? Let us know. Appreciate their work keeping this place running? Let us know.

Impressed by a comment that adds to a healthy discussion? Let us know.

Inspired by what someone writes? Let them and us know.

I'm personally doing this as an exercise in my life in general. Looking for things that work doesn't mean I am ignoring or denying what doesn't work. It just means that I am choosing my focus and encouraging what works.

Today I am inspired by several things I'm seeing on OlyBlog, especially JT's comment. I appreciate Merwyn's post. Enpen's. Bert's. And I'm not even through looking OlyBlog over yet today.

I felt S6's post about not

I felt S6's post about not wanting trouble with IT until they were trained was a nice compromise.

Hate to burst the happy bubble :-)

More like a matter of personal convience, nothing more.  I know and they know what is legal.  I am unsure if the operators all know, and I have better things to do with my time than sit around while a supervisor talks to his supervisor, who talks to someone who is out to lunch while I have to get to work...

I guess I could have just kept the myth alive though :-)

I think great praise should

I think great praise should be given to Emmett for all of his hard work in putting together the council reports. I truly enjoy reading those a couple of times a month. It is also great that a man of limited capacity such as Emmett is able to put coherent sentences together to form paragraphs. Only in America! Thanks Emmett!

I agree

Emmett actually gives this place a consistent and reliably legitimate hyper-local news source. Personally I think Emmett does a great service by OlyBlog in his continued participation. Unfortunately he seems to attract people too ignorant to understand Football, the sort who need five minutes between every play just to catch their breath from itching themselves or stringing together five words. Fortunately I know that everyone is human, and Emmett is allowed this one nearly debilitating flaw.

I find that offensive,four

I find that offensive, four months ago I mastered stringing up to 9 words together to form sentences. On a good day I may even have a clear thought. Pretty soon, with an incredible amount of work, dedication, and support from my family I will become average.

apparently I have some work to do

Or else I'm going to be a hypocrite. Not only does your nine pass my eight but you can apparently form sentences. I was under the impression that the words were only loosely affiliated and no more resembled a sentence than my wardrobe a suit.

Gee thanks guys

For the praise (far above). I'll try to live up to it.

Wilson, I hate to burst everyone's bubble here, is actually a raving New Castle United Fan. He wakes up early every Saturday to watch the Magpies and actually broke my nose when I said I was going to follow Sunderland this year because Roy Keane was managing. He never actually leaves his house without some shred of black and white clothing.

His illiteracy is masked on Olyblog by the fact that his wife actually types out his entries here. His dictation is sprinkled with four letter words and spittle. She, unlike the actual wilson, is a social conservative who loves the Seahawks and the Huskies and all things of the oblong ball.

oh

it all makes sense now...

definition of "right"

Thanks Sarah. I looked up the definition of "right". What I found amazed me: "right".

The Post Entitled:

"Catch an OlyBlogger doing something right" is a pretty good example of an OlyBlogger doing something right.

Thanks to Docents

I want to commend the docents.  We had a pretty good rhubarb about closing threads and I thought everyone conducted themselves well.

I got my chance to state my concerns.  Docents responded with their reasons.  Others commented.  Life went on.  I call that healthy.

Thanks again for your work.

Sounds good

Thanks Larry for weighing in.

Good Thinking, Larry...

I appreciate the hard work and time investment to OlyBlog, too.
