Are you satisfied with the current state of affairs in the USA? If so, you need to read no further. Contrarily, do you think this country (and the world) could benefit from some substantial changes? Do you think that things could be better? Do you want an alternative to the status quo of what is, for example [in my words], gunpoint venture capitalism [in Iraq]?

It's an exciting year in electoral politics. There are several candidates for Congress whom are similarly interested in presenting alternatives to foreign policies of violent and militaristic global dominance. There is a better way! And you can do something about it; you can do your part to promote change. There's a better way; instead of deception, intimidation, and the conquest of overseas resources, let's think about and move toward policies that are based in cooperative efforts, communication, truth and mutually beneficial outcomes.

Tomorrow at SPSCC, Cindy Sheehan, Candidate for the US Congress, along with a host of other speakers to include WA State 6th Congressional District Candidate for the Green Party, Gary Murrell, and Washington for Impeachment director Linda Boyd.

The Minneart Center for the Arts, Program at 7 PM, doors will open at 6 PM. link to map of location [SPSCC]
Recommended donation $10-$25, student tickets available for $5. Maximum donation to any candidate (per election cycle: $2,300.)

(Tickets $10 - $25, Students $5). Co-sponsored by the Green Party of South Puget Sound, Olympia Movement for Justice and Peace, Unitarian Universalist Social Justice Committee, and the Progressive Action Committee PAC (PAC2).

Why: Speaking on the subject, "A Revolution of Values: Moving from a War Economy to a Peace Economy," Sheehan will address the need to challenge our current leaders in Congress and to move the country away from its militaristic response to international problems to an economy based upon peace and social justice.

Chris Stegman with the Green Party of South Puget Sound said “Cindy Sheehan represents the very best this country has to offer. As the mother of a fallen soldier, Cindy Sheehan has the ultimate moral authority. She is a leading activist against the criminal occupation of Iraq . And she is someone who sees through the rhetoric of both major parties. I hope the public will take this opportunity to come and hear her speak her truth.”
