Columbian Mammoths & Sabertooth Salmon: The Megafauna of Pleistocene Washington

During the Pleistocene Epoch, Washington was shaped by glaciers creeping across the land. Who could survive in this often frozen landscape? Come for a 2pm presentation to learn about the giant animals that made Washington their home once upon a time, including mammoths and sabertooth tigers. We’ll also learn about some of the earliest human settlements during this epoch and what archeologists know about life for our prehistoric neighbors.
