Oh dear God, how accurate sometimes.

I'm not sure, the song, or more accurately the album, is pretty much only about heroin.

Ugh, how'd that song get there. One of the candidates for city council would sing that song all the flippin' time at the downtown karaoke bars.

Do they play this at the bowling alley?

6. Union City Blues - Blondie
Union's in Mason County, and Union Mills is out by East Oly, but it's got the blues part right. Maybe Kingsbury will sing this in his next musical.

Yeah, for the longest time Plagens and Taylor always played Beatles songs at Arts Walk.

Oly Shuffle

I've got fifteen minutes before the bus comes, so what the hell.

1. What does Olyblog mean to you?

"Apple Blossom" by the White Stripes. Hmmm. "Come and tell me what you're thinking, just when the boat is sinking, a little light is blinking, and I will come and rescue you." Apparently this is saying that I use Olyblog to help process my problems? Perhaps.

2. How do you feel about your own contributions to Olyblog?

"Most of the Time" by Bob Dylan. Yeah, I don't contribute as much as I should. That's for sure.

3. What do you think about Olympia in general?

"Smelling Cigarettes" by the Fiery Furnaces. Not sure about this one.

4. How about specifically downtown?

"Caring is Creepy" by the Shins. Hmmm. I don't think that's me. I care!

5. And the Westside?

"Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen. Well, I live on the Eastside, so...

6. What are your thoughts on the city council?

"Where is My Love?" by Cat Power. Yep, pretty much. Where is the new downtown library love, specifically?

7. What do you do for entertainment in Oly?

"Clouds" by the Long Winters. I have my head in the clouds a lot of the time for entertainment, I guess.

8. What's a cause you feel strongly about?

"Stardust" by Luscious Jackson. "answers never satisfy, i wear them out as soon as they come, i lie in between the sides, i'm happy when the fighting is done, so i'll read the news and i'll get the blues, and i'll make it matter for a minute or two"

"Middlesex Times" by Michael Richards, from the Donnie Darko soundtrack. It's instrumental! I think of myself and everyone I know, I guess. Sorry, that's a boring answer.

"Constellation Prize" by Jason Webley. They are a new, not-yet-named constellation in the sky.

Caiman Intro for Anon Larry

So FLOD stands for Fetid Lake of Doom, obviously being the you-know-what body of water downtown. Caimans are best learned about through the Caiman Bedtime Story written by stevenl.
